    Col.Michele Turi and Col.Gianni Cantice at DIMS PhD Defense 2014 On the occasion of the DIMS 2014 Defenses of Genoa University PhD Program in M&S, the Col.Michele Turi recalled along with the professor Agostino Bruzzone, the Col.Gianni Cantice , major promoter of the simulation in the world of the Italian Armed Forces, active in Research and Development in the National and International M&S Community. The Col.Giovanni Cantice was developing scientific initiatives with the Simulation Team of the University of Genoa as part of his PhD in Simulation and Mathematical Engineering working by night considering that he was in Command of a Regiment of Italian Army; unfortunately during this period he passed away; however, and he still mentioned as an example for young people and researchers around the world. In this regard, and it was established, since 2012, the "Gianni Cantice Award for Gifted Simulation Students" for young talents in the field of Modeling & Simulation : www.liophant.org/i3m/cantice Col.Michele Turi and Col.Gianni Cantice at DIMS, PhD Defense 2014 In occasione del completamente della tesi di dottorato il Col.Michele Turi ha ricordato insieme al Prof.Agostino Bruzzone, il Col Giovanni Cantice, promotore della Simulazione nel mondo delle forze Armate Italiane, punto di riferimento attivo nella ricerca e sviluppo sia a livello nazionale che internazionale. Il Col.Giovanni Cantice stava sviluppando iniziative scientifiche con il Simulation Team dell'Universita' di Genova nell'ambito del suo Dottorato in Simulazione e Ingegneria Matematica quando e' mancato ai suoi cari; tuttavia e' ancora oggi citato e portato ad esempio ai giovani ricercatori in tutto il mondo. A tal riguardo e' stato Istituito, sin dal 2012, il Premio "Gianni Cantice Award for Gifted Simulation Students" per giovanti talenti nel settore del Modelling & Simulation a Lui intitolato: www.liophant.org/i3m/cantice
